Deerfield Ranch Winery in known for making wines that are low in sulfites and low in histamines. Our 23,000 sq. ft. cave, where we make and barrel age our wine, is located in the heart of the Sonoma Valley. Our tasting room is in the center of the cave where you can relax on a sofa and taste world-class wines while learning about our clean winemaking process.
Deerfield prides itself in being green. We compost 100% of our production waste and recycle 98% of production wastewater to use for irrigation. We are restoring 14 acres of the last remaining Kenwood Wetlands, a wildlife habitat, located on the winery property. Our Estate Vineyards are biodynamically farmed and certified organic.
Cave Tasting Experience

Cave Tasting with Tour

Lunch with the Winemaker
Join Robert and PJ Rex at their ridge top home, Deerfield Ranch, for lunch on the veranda overlooking Sonoma Mountain. Winemaker Robert Rex is a “Renaissance Man” possessing a great palate and exceptional talent for cooking and winemaking. He’s a chemist, a graphic designer and gourmet cook. This exclusive dining experience is your chance to sit down to a four-course lunch prepared by a master chef paired with a flight of Deerfield’s world class wines. Available by appointment, Friday-Sunday. Minimum 4 people, 8 maximum. Bookings must be made 24 hours in advance. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated. The fee is $275 per person. Estate Tastings
Schedule a private tasting at the Deerfield Ranch, the ridge top home of Robert and PJ Rex where the Deerfield Ranch Winery was founded in 1982. Enjoy tasting world class wines beneath a 400 year-old oak tree overlooking Sonoma Mountain. PJ and/or Winemaker Robert Rex will be your host for a 90 minute tasting experience. Custom Virtual Tastings
Experience Deerfield wines with a personal touch from the comfort and safety of your own home. No crowded meetings with strangers. Just you, your party, and the Winemaker, Robert Rex. Just order the wines of your choice and have them delivered or picked up at the winery. You can then schedule a time for a virtual tasting with Winemaker Robert Rex. He will taste the wines with you, and talk about each of the wines you have selected. Robert will suggest the perfect food and wine pairing for each wine. The only cost involved is the price of the wine (and shipping & handling). Minimum order is one case (12 bottles). Tasting is limited to six varietals.
