Deerfield
Ranch is the home of Robert and PJ Rex and the birth
place of the Deerfield Ranch Winery. Deerfield Ranch is no
longer operated as a Bed and Breakfast, as it was in the early
years. Our two accommodations at Deerfield are offered to
our Deerfield Ranch Winery LLC partners until we complete
the partner hospitality houses on the new, adjacent, winery
site.

The 17-acre Deerfield Ranch sits on a hilltop
between the villages of Glen Ellen and Kenwood. Spectacular
vistas, majestic oaks, clean air and seclusion help make Deerfield
a very special place in a unique part of the world. Gazing
across to the mountains that form the Sonoma Valley on moonlit
nights, it’s easy to understand why the ancient Pomo
tribes called it “Valley of the Moon.” |

The Guest House
Down the
path from the pool and spa, surrounded by oaks, is the Guest
House. It has open-trussed ceilings, a kitchen and living
room with an open-hearth wood stove, sofa bed and media cabinet
with satellite TV. French doors open to its private deck and
valley view.
The
spacious bedroom and bath, with a queen feather bed, looks
out to meadows, oaks and the winery. |

The Guest Room
is in the East wing of the main house with private entrance,
bath and lofted ceiling. Windows spanning the entire south wall
overlook the garden filled with masses of narcissus, iris and
lilies, dominated by a huge California Valley Oak; moss covered
stonewalls and Sonoma Mountain in the distance
American antiques and a vaulted ceiling lend a spacious feel.
The ambiance is tranquil and harmonious. Facing the view, the
queen feather bed will engulf you in comfort
